COUNCILS (THIMUN)

UNICEF is arguably the most notable council established in the UN, and UNICEF has been tirelessly working protecting the youths of today for a better tomorrow of the world. In the 21st century, the youths are becoming more and more essential for a tomorrow to exist, and the world must come together to protect our youths.

THIS YEAR'S TOPICS:

The UNHCR is a key council within the United Nations, dedicated to protecting the rights of all humans around the globe, and address situations of human rights violence across the world and makes recommendations on them.

The Group of Twenty (G20) is a leading forum of the world's major economies that seeks to develop global policies to address today’s most pressing challenges. The G20 is made up of 19 countries and the European Union. The G20 is aN international forum for economic, financial and political cooperation and seeks to issue a leaders' declaration with a focus on fair and sustainable development.

UNDP has set its heart on tailoring their work for today’s developmental challenges, including accelerating structural transformations, eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions and as well as building resilience towards shocks and crises.

The World Health Organisation’s primary role is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system and is a key role in ensuring most of the world has received medical attention, whether it be vaccines, medicine or any basic needs.

The UNODC is a leading force in the fight against illicit drugs and international crime. In the Millennium Declaration, UNODC Member States have resolved to intensify efforts to fight transnational crime, to redouble the efforts to implement the commitment to counter the world drug problem and to take action against international terrorism.
